Motivation for Play Experience: B loves Home Bargains, shopping and messy play. Plus, I was going out and needed something to both alleviate separation anxiety and entertain her in my absence.

Price: under £15 for all

Level of B engagement in the activity: ( with 1 being total disemgament and 5 being total immersion) 4

Level of B wellbeing in the activity: ( with 1 being very poor wellbeing and 5 being very high wellbeing ): 5

Time spent on activity: intermittent over several hours ( she was also watching Hocus Pocus 😉)

Jennie review: If in doubt take B to Home Bargains for a haul and all is well with the world. The slime looked like a potential mess hazard but actually cleaned up surprisingly well. The putty smelt lovely which was a motivator in itself. The sand is yet to be opened. The foam was an experiment in bouncy ball making! The assorted sensory balls were too attractive to the dog which stressed B out, so weren’t thoroughly explored. Thanks to Bs sisters for exploring with her and reporting back
