Reviewer: Miss B awards traffic light indicators, Jennie provides additional comment

Parking: Amber Light – there are disabled parking spaces at front door but they’re quite narrow, often used and on a v narrow street – the hotel have little control over this, but for access it’s worth knowing – we parked behind the Library and walked round which was fine.

Accessibility: Green Light – no issues – wide entrances, flat floors, helpful staff, well spaced tables and chairs.

Service: Green Light – They were super busy and bent over backwards to accommodate us. Everyone was warm and welcoming directly to B. They explained that there were several functions on and the noise level and length of wait may be more than usual which given we hadn’t booked was completely acceptable to us.

Cost: V reasonable for what we had – £4.99 for tea and cake of B’s choice – she chose a special Victoria Sponge!

Tea review: Green Light – own pot for 2 cups, a plentiful milk jug, a cup B can hold!

Cake/pudding review: Green Light for Victoria sponge – B got it before her tea and struggled to wait – to be honest, I struggled not to sample too ;-)! Light sponge, creamy icing and who doesn’t like some old skool hundreds and thousands!

Jennie’s review: Given we hadn’t booked and they were very VERY busy ,they were just lovely to us. It was noisy and B did struggle to keep calm amidst so much sensory overload but the seating booths really help with this. I think in future we would go at a quieter time, we went on a Saturday mid afternoon, but we will definitely be going back as they were so warm and welcoming to us and met our needs beautifully given our circumstances. I’ve been at a similar time midweek and it’s much quieter. The Broadcroft is beautifully decorated, so it’s just a nice space to be in.

A big thumbs up to The Broadcroft!
